About Dr. Halland

About Dr. Halland

Founder of Cell Theory | Longevity & Cellular Medicine Expert

Dr. Halland, MD, is a double board-certified physician, medical innovator, and longevity strategist focused on one central question: why does the human body break down with age and how can we support those systems earlier, upstream, and at the cellular level?

He is the Founder of Cell Theory, a cellular health platform built to translate mechanistic science and clinical insight into practical, evidence-informed strategies to support long-term healthspan. The mission is simple but rigorous: strengthen the biology that powers the body before dysfunction becomes disease.

So, rather than approaching medicine as reactive “sick care,” Dr. Halland’s work centers on proactive optimization by supporting cellular energy, repair, and resilience long before symptoms appear.

Healthspan is build upstream

Medical Education & Foundation

Dr. Halland completed his medical training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he developed a systems-based understanding of human physiology. His education emphasized adaptation, metabolic signaling, and the interconnected biological processes that govern energy production, recovery, and resilience.

This training shaped his clinical philosophy early on: the body does not fail randomly. Fatigue, inflammation, slower recovery, cognitive fog, and declining performance are rarely isolated issues. They are often downstream expressions of deeper cellular stress.

Long-term health isn’t built when symptoms show up, it’s built earlier, by how efficiently cells generate energy and recover over time.

Why He Created Cell Theory

Throughout his clinical career, Dr. Halland observed a consistent pattern. Patients often presented with different symptoms, but the same underlying cellular disruptions kept appearing:

  • Impaired cellular energy production

  • Reduced repair and regeneration capacity

  • Declining metabolic flexibility

  • Chronic, low-grade inflammation

In other words, the problem wasn’t a lack of treatments; it was that care was being applied too late and too far downstream.

And so, Cell Theory was created to work upstream. The platform focuses on supporting foundational cellular systems like mitochondrial function, metabolic signaling, and recovery pathways. By using a science-forward framework, evidence-informed inputs, and transparent formulation standards.

Most chronic health issues are downstream problems. Cell Theory was built to address root-level biology.

Clinical & Professional Experience

Dr. Halland’s work spans clinical medicine, research translation, and medical product innovation.

In addition to founding Cell Theory, he serves as Chief Medical Innovation Officer at Eden, where he provides medical oversight and strategic guidance aligned with longevity science, emerging research, and responsible product development.

He also practices as an international concierge medicine physician, working with patients globally on personalized longevity and performance strategies. His clinical approach integrates advanced diagnostics with functional and regenerative frameworks designed to optimize recovery, metabolic health, and long-term biological resilience.

Across all roles, Dr. Halland maintains the same standard: clinical plausibility first, evidence always, and biology over hype.

Longevity medicine should be clinically grounded, not trend-driven.

Training & Medical Perspective

Dr. Halland is double board-certified and trained across both conventional and functional medicine frameworks. This dual perspective allows him to bridge traditional clinical rigor with forward-looking longevity strategies grounded in real human physiology, not theoretical extremes.

His work emphasizes translation: taking complex biological mechanisms and turning them into interventions that are realistic, safe, and sustainable for real people.

The best longevity strategies are the ones patients can actually sustain.

Research & Scientific Focus

Dr. Halland has collaborated on research-oriented initiatives involving NAD⁺ biology, mitochondrial function, regenerative medicine, and multi-system approaches to healthy aging, including partnerships connected to the University of Miami.

His research interests center on how cellular energy production, repair mechanisms, and metabolic signaling influence aging trajectories and how targeted, responsible interventions can support these systems over time.

This research-first mindset directly informs the scientific strategy behind Cell Theory’s formulations.

Cellular energy and repair are not supplement trends, they are foundational biology.

Clientele & Clinical Philosophy

As an international concierge physician, Dr. Halland works with a diverse global clientele, ranging from high-performing professionals to individuals seeking proactive, longevity-focused care.

His approach prioritizes:

  • Personalization over protocols

  • Early intervention over crisis response

  • Measurable outcomes over vague promises

The goal is not just extending lifespan, but improving day-to-day function, clarity, recovery, and resilience.

Longevity care should be proactive, personalized, and data-informed.

Philosophy on Longevity

At the core of Dr. Halland’s work is a simple belief:

Meaningful longevity begins by strengthening biology at its foundation.

Rather than chasing extreme interventions or short-term fixes, his approach focuses on supporting the cellular systems that power every organ, tissue, and process in the body. When cells function better, systems function better and healthspan follows.

Cell Theory exists to make this philosophy accessible, scientifically grounded, and applicable to everyday life.
